I wouldn't really say this particular cartonn is baned, but almost forgotten. I have all of Walt Disney's propoganda cartoons in a speacial collection set. One may still be able to find this on Amazon or Ebay. This cartoon and the rest have a detailed explination why it was made, it's popularity, and other cool facts.

you're correct, but in my humble opinion Disney spent very little money on this specific cartoon. See how poorly all these different characters are mixed together? They literally traced them from their respective cartoons, they made no effort whatsoever in drawing new things, exept of course the adding of signs, the re-drawing of Horace,a matching suit for Goofy (he was taken from a different short), and the final sequence. Heck, even the dwarves are still singing "Heigh-Ho"

There was no TV during WW2 (except in the 3rd Reich).Propaganda was crude by our standards because of the limited amount of visual imagery and unsophisticated audiences. and this cartoon was in COLOUR!! It's amazing how fate and the talents of so many special artists coming together not only created these three timeless characters, but also established such a winning formula that would prove entertaining time and time again. I don't care what anyone says; you can't beat the epic trio that is Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. :) So many detailed gags in this cartoon that I forgot about! This is some true art.

What a great cartoon! The sight gags are great--the "knee action" suspension, the "R-101" license plate (the ID of the ill-fated British dirigible,) and the musical score is fantastic. The bucking-bronco anthropomorphized engine is the best of it. And no lingering over a good gag--great pace! Thanks for posting!

Ich habe früher sehr sehr sehr sehr viel Fernsehen geschaut...dazu gehörten Es war einmal das Leben, die Disney-Serien, Sailor Moon, Dragonball und was damals halt noch so lief....so jetzt bin ich 15 und schaue so ziemlich gar kein Fernsehen mehr...es läuft nur noch totaler Müll...die Kinder verdummen wirklich vor der Glotze...wir lernten was über den menschlichen Körper und in den sonstigen Serien ging es um Freundschaft und so...heute lernt man nullkommanix mehr...das ist einfach nur arm

echt schade, dass es so etwas heute kaum noch gibt. disney scheint sehr viel wert auf die qualität eines guten zeichenstils gelegt zu haben. aber seitdem er nichtmehr am drücker ist, scheinen die leute an der führung darauf wohl leider nichtmehr so zu achten...

Früher hatten die Sendungen echt noch Stil, ich würd mir die auch heute noch, obwohl ich schon 17 bin, immernoch angucken, einfach nur der erinnerung und deswegen weil die sendungen einfahc nur Kultstatus haben^^ Heutzutage wird nur noch Scheiss produziert und davon viel zu viel^^
