I am going to make a comment here. My impression of this song was horribly influenced by it's use in the context of the movie, "Good Morning Vietnam". It was a horrible use of a beautiful song. yeah. Great Song. dont know anything about FallOut, but this is was a live video recording of 'A Kiss to Build a Dream On'. In the FallOut intro [which i just looked up] actually was L. The upturned bell is actually from the marching band tradition - and allows the soloist to hear their own part as it blends with the rest. Diz always liked the high notes - it not only meant he had phenomenal chops, but could actually hear himself very acutely whilst playing - and make minor tuning and volume adjustments. Satch, of course, is another thing altogether - old school and pure class.

Well... smooth jazz is to bebop as rap is to real hip hop. So, in a way it is being destroyed. Smooth Jazz, like rap is just comercial music. There is really no improv in smooth jazz.. It is all made perrrfect in the studio. There is still good real jazz though :D I'm glad

Louis is a giant. I have done research and have asked THEM. I have heard many names mentioned his was one of them. Historically speaking Ellington and others were already there.
