Try just turning the key to On, pressing the pedal to the floor & releasing slowly, then start. That's the owner's manual procedure for my '76 Thunderbird, and seems to work well. The Motorcraft carbs aren't meant to be pumped. Did you get your tuneup done?

Gotta love ford! These LTD's are great cars and are built almost as sturdy as the lincolns of the time. This thing really needs a good restoration! I would love to see the underbody. A paintjob and some period hubcaps would make this baby! I love LTD's my mother had one when she was growing up, and one day I would love to get the same model/colour.

Great video! I liked seeing the oil pressure gauge in action. I also noticed there was no "unleaded gasoline only" notice on the fuel gauge like there is on mine. It must be a model made before catalytic convertors, so it runs good on regular gas.

I'm thinking maybe it was made to be shown in a theatre at the DeVry institute. i was surprised too, at how new the films were. Maybe back then, 16mm film was still somewhat alive. Because I remember all throughout elementary school, until about grade 8 (1999/2000), we watched a lot of films.

1995-1996? Why would such a modern movie be released on 16mm film? I know 8mm and 16mm film has some niche interest in amateur movie making, but overall it's far deader than almost any other consumer media format, except maybe 8-track audio tapes.

Yea I know what you mean about how expensive 16mm films are! There are some on eBay, but a lot of them cost a fortune. There are vintage TV commercials on 16mm film for a diecent price though.

Bell and Howell is a great company. I have a Super 8 and a Reg 8mm projector as well as a Kodak Pagent 16mm. I like 16mm the best, but finding full feature movies are hard to find and expensive!

Great demonstration! One time I saw this exact model which used a xenon arc lamp but the separate power supply was missing so I didn't get it. I do have the brochure for it though and saw it used a tube amp...later models like this I think were solid state. That film must be among the very last educational films made...As I remember the last time we watched 16mm films in school was around 1990 or so.

One of ur pipes has bust! most likely. Modern cars usually have a split braking system so if 1 pipe fails u still get 2 brakes working, either diagonal split or front/ rear split. I knew someone with a car like this in UK!! HUGE CAR!! 10-15mpg!! at £6($12) a gallon!! Reminds me of lampoons national vacation the film!!

The pedal just goes to the floor. There's just some air in the brakes. When you pump the brake pedal, they work again, but they're pretty worn out, so I'm just gonna get some new brakes put on. Yea it was scary the first time it happened! i went straight through a busy intersection LOL

Ya, I'd really like an engine temp. guage on mine too, because she sure likes to overheat in the summer haha [lol and my buddy thought it was a good idea to open up the rad cap and coolant exploded everywhere.. it was awesome] and the wood grain on the guage thing... excellent idea!! and 'Love To Drive'.... Dude! I LOVE it man.......I have a three pod gauge under the ash tray. I wanted a live read out for my oil pressure (lack of thanks to Dads Garage) and a read out of my engine temp. I found some contact paper that matched the fake wood grain....it looks alright, but its better than idiot lights. LTD.....Love To Drive!

LTD's do not! make any oil pressure in stock form(very low). you do have the "convenience" option(remotes,ash trays and trunk release)sounds like a 400 2v. if yours came with rear mount and front door speakers, you did have an 8track player if not, AM only. the stereo you have looks over 25 yrs old! LoL

Hey now, don't be too hard on the mac :)...I have a collection of vintage macintoshes and really enjoy them. My porch on my house has problems too...it is still there but it is rotting and falling apart, I need to repair it with treated lumber. That comic sans font always comes up as a default font for the title block on a mapping program I use and I will change it to something nicer.
