A couple of things that killed the Disney Channel. The High School Musical Franchise Jonas Brothers Hanna Montana The popularity of this made Disney completely shift from actually focusing on making good shows and movies to getting the next "It" girl like Miley and producing musical after musical. Wizards of Waverly place is a horrible show. The only ok show left is Corey in the House and that's cause it's a piece of one of the originals.

Commentaries on ethnic subcultures and racism are very different things. Many of these stereotypes are conveyed in a way which does not promote a negative image, therefore they are NOTHING different from what would be in movies today--except now they're meant to be laughed at by everyone. Not that disney HASN'T been racist before, but these are terrible examples. Watch "That Pastoral Symphony" from Fantasia...that's really the only terribly racist thing Disney's ever done.

So let me get this straight...in your estimation...Disney is racist and evil? So you'd rather have your kids watch the cartoons of today, like for instance, anime, where there are so many overtly sexual overtones, the porn industry has capitalized on it. Another one of my favorite Disney Cartoons. I still have the book by Virgina Lee Burton. I like the way Holloway uses his close to Winnine the Pooh voice when narrating these stories just to let you know that its the same person. ironically, in my neighborhood a lot of "little ol' houses" just like this one are giving way to the big ugly sterile buildings... I live in a "little ol' house" (from 1850's) and I will not let it become a bank or a mall. No way man. It survived 5 major earthquakes, 2 world wars, and about 4 local wars. I'm not giving up on it. I never said there was! But just because a male likes flowers doesn't make him gay! He just happened to find something he likes to do! I'm playing Ferdinand in a play that tours to children and this is a subject that often comes up. The other bulls tease him for liking something that a bull shouldn't, but he just let's it roll off his back and finds the absolute beauty in something that most people don't stop to appreciate. Pretty good message for kids to hear, huh?
