As it hasn't been uploaded, I'm uploading this wonderful cartoon, the first one of the Pluto's serie. Pluto has no bone, so he decides to steal one from his neighbour Spike... but when he is discovered, he escapes in a deserted carnival. This is a great piece of animation, and the sequence in the hall of mirrors is simply delicious! (Thanks to Overhill who found this cartoon for me ;))

Anyone know the vid in which Pluto is like trying to get hold of some sort of a rubber bone whereafter Donald Duck tries to put him in his own invented automatic bath? You see, I loved that episode. It's not my area of expertise, but the estimate I see most often is "a few million years." But since Titan is so small, it would have a hard time maintaining an atmosphere that would be thick enough for humans to breathe once it warms up that much. Other forms of life *could* evolve there, but in evolutionary terms, a few million years is a blink of an eye, and such life probably wouldn't get past the very simple, early stages of evolution before the Sun collapsed.

Out where Pluto is, it will still be pretty cold. But it will be somewhat warmer, so Pluto (and all the outer planets) will most likely go through some changes. But since we still know so little about Pluto and its atmosphere, I wouldn't be confident making a prediction. Jupiter, however, may find itself in the habitable zone briefly, and it's possible that its moons could support some forms of primitive life for a brief period of time.

does anyone thing about the gravitation of pluto and its moon??? i mean wouldnt that have some effect on how it would orbit its sun??? think about it. its moon is like half its size so should its gravity effect pluto in some way. that could explain the odd orbit and i dought plutos moon is orbiting as flat with the sun as the planets. im thinking the moon moves the planet a little off its course because the moon is not only orbiting pluto but the sun too. so it would be drown to the sun also.

As Pluto crosses Neptune's orbit, it's actually above (or below, depending on your point of view) the plane of Neptune's orbit. So even if they're both in the same place in map view, they won't actually hit, until something shifts the orbits again.

Idiot tourists! My sister worked one season at disneyland paris, and her friends told her about all attacks that they were exposed to. It is sad when they told that people is trying to stick them with needles, hit them or kick them just to get attention. Its easy to see when the mother stops pluto, and by body language one can see that the person in the pluto-dress is really angry, and tell her to keep her son under attention. hopefully they were kicked out from the park, by the guards.

I love Bill Nye, but I'm still upset about the declassification of Pluto. To say it's not worthy of planet status because it would evaporate if it headed for the sun, I think, is an arbitrary reason. I might as well say Saturn shouldn't be a planet because it's already gaseous. Heck, it's less dense than water.

I don't know, I don't think New Zealand suits this kind of culture; repetitive British sound, 'cute' lead singer all the girls adore. None of the one-hit wonder bands with a cute boy like Zed, Evermore, Pluto really amounts to the true, original New Zealand rock: The Dunedin Sound, Dave Dobbyn, the Muttonbirds, SUPERGROOVE. I can't stand it when Kiwis say "NZ music 4 lyfe" when nothing out there today is original, save for the few Tiki T?ne, Kora, and Fat Freddys Drop. NZ rock and rap's dead.

It meets the technical definition of a planet, the IAU tried to redefine a planet in '06 because as it turned out there are a lot more planets than we previously thought. we don't redefine star because there are a bunch of them and I don't for planets. can anyone remember the pluto cartoon where mickey is in bed and sends him to go for a paper and gives him money. he goes and loses his money down a drain, he uses his tail to get a piece of gum out of gumball machine and sticks it to his tail to put dwn the drain. he ends up falling in the dirt and the paper goes everywhere and he cries at the end to mickey. i think they used some of the chewing the gum scenes in this one for it.
